A time to gather and grieve

Please join us Friday evening (Oct 23) at 7pm at Sanctuary Church's Offices above the Chase Bank on 85th and Greenwood (find the door at the south east corner of the building and come up the stairs, first door on the left). We will have a time to gather, share stories and grieve the results of the fire. All are welcome!

For friends that want to support the Green Bean and help us dream how to move the Bean forward from here, we will meet at 8pm on Thursday (Oct 29) at Romios on Greenwood just north of 85th.

Comments:
Jasmine, Kieren and I will be there, even if just for 30-45 minutes. We're glad there will be a gathering.
Blessings, Melinda

Lisa,
It's Meleah Lindsey's friend, I'm so sorry to see what happened to the green bean and my heart just breaks for you and please know you are very close in my prayers. Please let me know if there is anything I can do as I live about 4 blocks away. God bless and again I'm so sorry.
Meleah

Friends in the Sanctuary community,

Compliments to the staff for keeping the fire loss in perspective --- the people are the focus, neither the furniture nor the place. Recalling the sermon from last Sunday, "What is the Good News? Jesus, the Christ". I have been humming a hymn this afternoon with the refrain, "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow; because He lives, all fear is gone; Because I know He hold the future, and life is worth the living because He lives."

Peace be with us as we move ahead to renew the ministry of Sanctuary and The Green Bean and the brothers and sisters of the Greenwood community.

We are so, so sorry about the fire -- terrible. Can't come this evening but know that Wacktastic Light Show will have a collection box for all the love and support you've shown the neighborhood.

My name is G.Robin Smith and I do fundraising. I volunteer to help do one to benefit the people and businesses harmed in this fire.
Please see www.fiveriversfundraising.org and www.ben-franklin.org for how we could do a community-building and financially effective program to assist all those affected.

I've enjoyed playing OM at GB in the past and have talked to more than a dozen folks this weekend who will gladly play at any benefit concert that is scheduled. SFS and Phinney Neigh Assn reps appear willing to share as well. Reach me at 206-789-9551 or stratmandkh@msn.com
