What's in a Gift?

Christmas is almost here! (At least it is according to the retail world, which says it arrives IMMEDIATELY following Halloween each year…)

And whether you're someone who is tired of trying to figure out what to get for somebody who usually has everything they need, or you are just interested in pushing back against the consumerism that's taken over such a blessed holiday, we invite you to consider trying something
a little different...

GIVE SOMEBODY YOU LOVE A CHEESE SLICER FOR THE GREEN BEAN.

That's right. They may not be able to take it home and use it themselves, but every time they bite into a hot, gooey panini at the Bean, they know it's THEIR cheese slicer that helped bring that sandwich so close to perfection.

But it doesn't have to be the cheese slicer! We've got a whole list of things that the Bean could really, really use, and we’d be so blessed if you could purchase one (or even many!) of the items in the Green Bean gift catalog.

Check the comments to see which items have already been spoken for!

As we mentioned earlier, there was a great response to the Christmas Gift Catalog for the Bean and we need your help to make some of these changes. This Thursday night, Saturday night, or Sunday after Brunch we need folks to assist in a bench making project. Call John Eidson if you're interested in helping out!

Also, if you haven't heard, our darling Amelea is leaving us for the greener pastures of Grand Rapids. Wish her luck and let her know how much she meant to you. Also help us be on the lookout for someone (or ones) to help fill the void her absence will create. Email Torrey if you have questions/suggestions/etc.
