This week’s text: Mark 12:35-44

Listen to last week’s sermon HERE
Greetings!  Merry Christmas!  Happy New Year!  I hope and pray that the wonder and awe of Christ’s birth into this world, and the hope of his return is filling your hearts and minds this season.
At the end of this year, I wanted to give you a quick update on where Sanctuary is at financially.  By God’s grace, your generosity, and the frugal creativity of our staff and council, we continue to operate at a sustainable level, paying our rents, our staff, and investing these resources in God’s work through our church.  I trust that God is growing up his church (which is all of us, as members of Christ’s body) through the various ministries of Sanctuary, and want to deeply thank you for your partnership in this good work!
We are, however, below where we’d hoped to be at this point in our budget cycle.  We had hoped to replace some aging equipment (computers, mic stands, etc.), and invest additional resources in children’s ministry, as well as a number of other areas.  As this year draws to a close, would you consider a year-end gift to Sanctuary?  You can give during our morning service, mail a check (Sanctuary CRC, 8525 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA, 98103), or give here.
May you all know and experience the grace, truth, and beauty of Christ this season, and always!
The Word became flesh and blood,
    and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
    the one-of-a-kind glory,
    like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
    true from start to finish.
(John 1:14, The Message)
