Spending Time in the Word

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (TNIV)

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It contains an account of God’s relationship with and pursuit of God’s chosen people as well as the Good News that God has sent his only son to save us from our sin. The Bible itself tells us that it contains everything necessary for salvation and guides us in the life of faith.

We desire to be deeply rooted in the truths of Scripture at Sanctuary. Our hope is that Bible would be central in our corporate worship but also that each person who calls Sanctuary home would be consistently spending time reading and being transformed by Scripture in their private lives and with a small group community.

Our God is a God who strengthens you and cheers you up. May he help you agree with each other as you follow Christ Jesus. Then you can give glory to God with one heart and voice. He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ has accepted you. So accept one another in order to bring praise to God. I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews. He teaches us that God is true. He shows us that God will keep the promises he made to the founders of our nation. Jesus became a servant of the Jews so that people who are not Jews could give glory to God for his mercy. It is written, 'I will praise you among those who aren't Jews. I will sing praises to you.' --( Samuel :; Psalm :) Again it says, 'You non-Jews, be full of joy. Be joyful together with God's people.' --(Deuteronomy :) And again it says, 'All you non-Jews, praise the Lord. All you nations, sing praises to him.' --(Psalm :) a href="/bibles/chapter/?verse=Romans+15%3A5-11amp;version=tniv"Romans 15:5-11/a TNIVdiv class="feedflare" a href="http://feeds.ibs.org/~ff/tniv/nXKd?a=J3XKcYD3oX4:qRtDU8ORRK4:yIl2AUoC8zA"img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/tniv/nXKd?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0"/img/a a href="http://feeds.ibs.org/~ff/tniv/nXKd?a=J3XKcYD3oX4:qRtDU8ORRK4:qj6IDK7rITs"img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/tniv/nXKd?d=qj6IDK7rITs" border="0"/img/a /divimg src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/tniv/nXKd/~4/J3XKcYD3oX4" height="1" width="1"/
