From the CRC Offices of Social Justice:

Launch of Immigrants Are a Blessing Not a Burden Campaign

Have you heard about our new Immigrants Are a Blessing Not a Burden campaign?

The campaign a new movement of Christians who are trying to change the conversation about immigrants from one that portrays immigrants as burdens to one that tells the truth about the blessing they are to our churches, communities, and the economy. We are asking people tosign the pledge, wear a t-shirt or tote bag, and share the message on social media. Visitwww.BlessingNotBurden.org to begin changing the conversation!

Spread the Message

We need your voice! Are you committed to the message that immigrants are a blessing, not a burden? Do you want to have an active role in changing the conversation? Become a social media ambassador for the ‪#BlessingNotBurden campaign! Anti-immigrant rhetoric is too prevalent on social media. Together we can change this conversation on social media and educate others on the blessings that immigrants are to our communities. To join or learn more, click here.

We have 733 likes on facebook! Like us and invite your friends too. Let’s get 1,000 likes by the end of the week! Like on facebook at www.facebook.com/BlessingNotBurden

Worship and Technology

Many worship spaces today are filled with smart phones, screens, lights, live-streaming cameras, sound amplification, and more. How are these new forms of technology impacting the worshipping life of Christian Churches? How should churches wisely use (or avoid) these technologies in their worship services? This fall, Dr. Matthew Kaemingk will be speaking on the topic of worship and technology at the Rewiring: Faith and Technology Conference in Bellevue, WA. Don’t miss it!
November 7th, from 9am to 6pm at 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004
