We are built to grow. And nowhere is this more evident than in a child. From increasing vocabulary, to social skills, to spiritual understanding, to physical ability – our dream for our kids is growth. At Sanctuary, our children’s ministry is itself experiencing this growth. From 3 kids a few years ago, to a couple dozen now, we are growing these young followers of Jesus, and can’t wait for the day when they are leading us.
Our prayer is to see the children of Sanctuary grow up in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We seek to facilitate this growth through our nursery and Sunday school but also through intentionally involving children in worship.
We have a wonderful team of volunteers that help care for our children. Infants and toddlers are welcome into the green room of the Isaac Theater (just off the lobby). Trained and background checked volunteers are present and ready for your children 10 minutes before each service starts.
Our Sunday School, like our kids, is growing. Children are welcome to stay with parents during the musical portion of the worship service (typically the first 20-30 minutes) and are then dismissed to their classes during the greeting time. We have classes for pre-school age kids, and elementary and junior high aged kids. The Little Beans blog has some of our lessons, as well as other resources periodically updated. Classes are held in the Taproot’s lobby, and the Isaac Studio Theatre.
We’re teaching our youth a variety of hymns and songs that we hope stick in their heads and hearts and in doing so both form and give voice to their faith for years to come. Click the link above and enjoy!
PATH is a shining light for families seeking a warm, welcoming, and fun learning environment for children ages 3-5 years. PATH seeks to love our neighbors – families and children from all backgrounds – by providing developmentally appropriate opportunities to nurture each child’s sense of accomplishment and personal growth. We provide an environment which allows each child to learn through interactive play, utilizing music, art, science, language, pre-reading, math, pre-writing, and dramatic play.
PATH is located in northwest Seattle, adjacent to the Crown Hill, Ballard, Greenwood, and Broadview neighborhoods.
