Located yet Nomadic…
It has been nearly 9 years since we began conceiving of Sanctuary and the Green Bean Coffeehouse. The Green Bean has been open for about seven years. And….we are dialed in to Greenwood as both the church and the Bean. We are focused and localized and we love it!
But, given arson fires, and interim sites, the Green Bean Coffee House is about to move to its fourth location in seven years and we will be in our fifth location by Spring of 2013. FIVE locations in 7 years in a two block area? What?
Our current site is being demolished to make way for a new building complex in which we hope to be a tenant come Spring 2013. In the interim we are going “mobile” or “nomadic” in late September. Our new and limited home location will be in the front conference room of the new office space where we will serve drip coffee, hang out with our beloved neighbors and eat some cookies. We vow to preserve the core of the Green Bean as we work hard to open the new shop. Until then, if you have a desire for a cup of coffee and a cookie and for some human contact come see us and we will do you right.
New hours will be 9 am – 1 pm Monday through Friday.
