MISSION GREENWOOD kicks of Sunday morning January 20th, 2013 at Sanctuary. For 5 weeks, we will be sharing messages from Scripture as well as stories and the vision about who we are and what we do as a church here in Greenwood. We will be sharing a bit of the history of Sanctuary and the Green Bean and also talking about some core values we hold regarding Radical Hospitality, Valuing Place, Authentic Relationships and Cherishing Everyone’s gifts.
This 5 week series is intended to share a bit of where we have been in the past 8 years and also share our common hopes and dreams for the immediate future. This series is not an advertisement for the “things we do”. It is an honest accounting of “who we are” and “what we aim to be” as a church.
The way we are planning the Mission Greenwood series will give all of us opportunities to talk about who we are and who we can be as we go forward. So, anticipate worship services that include some dialogue where you get to share your heart and mind with others.
I am really excited to this series. It will give all of us opportunities to share thoughts, refresh vision, and seek to get more solidly on the same page. Get ready to rock with us.
