We are a church planting church. Take a look around. AWAKE has the Aurora Commons and a growing group of devoted Christ-followers who live and believe the Gospel in the Aurora neighborhood. It’s a great ministry. Just to the Northwest of us in Crown Hill, John Westfall pastors the growing HARBOR CHURCH with it’s focus on authenticity and adventure in the Christian Faith. The Harbor’s building is home to Sanctuary’s musician retreats, the parenting roundtable, two seminary interns and we share Good Friday Services together.
March and April are exciting months for those of us on the Church Planting Team at Sanctuary. Dan Moses, Jeremy Schertzinger, Alyssa Groenewald, Tim Soerens and I are working with all of our church planters to help us all get up to speed on why we plant churches, how we plant churches, where we plant churches and all of the ways which we in the family can support Sanctuary’s church planting efforts in association with our Seattle Area Ministry Cluster and the CRC’s Classis Pacific Northwest.
In the several weeks following Easter, you will hear from John Westfall and Harbor by way of video. You will see a video on our overall church planting movement and you will hear a couple of ideas on how you can be involved.
