There is an exciting opportunity for church planting that may be on the horizon for Sanctuary and the churches in our Seattle Church Planting Cluster. This would entail becoming what is called a “Kingdom Enterprise Zone”. The idea is for the Christian Reformed Church to work with the Reformed Church in America in urban locations to create church multiplication. The Zones receive support and some funding from a generous foundation grant and we get the opportunity to work together with our wise and godly cousins in the RCA. The joy of this comes by deepening what we know in the Seattle Cluster: “We are better together!”
Cooperative work creates energy, diversity, deeper resources bases and tons of energy for efforts. Jesus told us “by this shall all people know that you are my disciples; that you love one another.” This partnership could be a great show of love and unity and help catalyze starting many neighborhood-based churches that transform lives and communities throughout the Puget Sound region.
