Crafting for a Cause!
The Green Bean’s Stitching group is spending the month of October crafting for a cause. We want to use the skills and talents we have to bless our community by making scarves, hats, blankets, slippers, gloves, or other items to be given to our local homeless shelters. We want the joy of our work to bless others in this upcoming winter. If you are a knitter, crocheter, sewer, or other artisan, and would like to participate, please join us on Tuesday evenings (5:30-7pm) at the Green Bean. We’ll spend the month of October making gifts to give to our neighbors. In November, we’ll plan a time to take these gifts to a local non-profit to give out. We would love for any local community crafters to join us in sharing our gifts with our neighbors. If you have questions, please contact Sarah Lewis-Assink at 253.266.3817.Craft Night!Join us on October 30th from 7-10pm at the Green Bean! All community crafters are welcome to come. Feel free to bring yarn or fabric crafts that will help provide warmth and comfort to our neighbors this winter!

New Members Class
     November 1st, 11:30am-1:30pm
We think about church membership in terms of mutual commitment: A commitment that you make to the church, and that the church – the people of God – makes to you.  It’s a commitment to being a part of this community, offering your time, talents, and treasures to your brothers and sisters, who offer theirs to you.  Come to our new member class on the 1st immediately after the service to learn more about Sanctuary and what membership looks like here.  RSVP to Mark (this is for an accurate count when ordering pizza for lunch).
Green Bean
The Green Bean is always looking for volunteers. Can you help? Contact Jonathan or Kiri.

Every Sunday in October, there will be a  review of our Safe Church Policy for all Children’s Ministry volunteers. They will be meeting in the church office, from 9:40 to 9:55am. All volunteers are asked to attend one session!

Worship and Technology

Many worship spaces today are filled with smart phones, screens, lights, live-streaming cameras, sound amplification, and more. How are these new forms of technology impacting the worshipping life of Christian Churches? How should churches wisely use (or avoid) these technologies in their worship services? This fall, Dr. Matthew Kaemingk will be speaking on the topic of worship and technology at the Rewiring: Faith and Technology Conference in Bellevue, WA. Don’t miss it!
November 7th, from 9am to 6pm at 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004
